Course Description

By the end of the course, students will be able to communicate present and past events, recently completed actions and life experiences, learning how to ask and answer questions. Students will learn how to communicate where things are and when things happen / are happening. In addition, expressing opposites, comparisons and ownership are also a focus at this level. In particular, sentence structure and writing full sentences. It is also the first of the steps in the 10-step system to reach a Common European Framework of Reference level. It is A1. Certificates are issued from the UK meaning they are recognised worldwide.

What Will I Learn?

  • About 400 more words (800 altogether, counting the 400 from previous levels)
  • Understanding and learning the structure, whilst using the past simple, regular and irregular verbs
  • Students will be able follow Instructions and commands with minimal ease
  • Adjectives and modifiers, for descriptive and comparative purposes
  • Possession – expressions of ownership
  • Countable and uncountable things, quantifiers both in positive and negative form

Course Requirements

A good understanding of the English language. Learning basic grammar and structures.

Duration: 30 hours x 1 hour lessons per week. 30 weeks in total.

There will be an additional cost of €50 per person for the Intake.
